United States Navy and World War I: – Frank A. Blazich 1914-1922 book, PhD Naval History and Heritage Command. Introduction. This document is intended to provide readers with a chronological progression of the activities of the United States Navy and its involvement with World War I as an outside observer, active participant, and victor engaged in the war’s lingering effects in the postwar.
